There is no better place to celebrate and round off the year than De Verloren Kost. Well known to our founders and partners and located in the heart of Ghent, it offers exactly the right setting to raise a glass, enjoy excellent appetisers, and ease into an intimate, jazz-club kind of evening.

And as everyone arrived, the room came to life. Our founders greeted each other with familiar smiles. Advisors caught up after a long year. Everyone had clearly made an effort, dressed to mark the moment and ready to celebrate what had been built together.

Because at the end of each year, we bring our portfolio companies and advisory partners together for the Miles Stones Awards, we intentionally create this moment to step out of the everyday pace of building and reflect on how far we have come over the past twelve months.

Progress takes many forms throughout a company’s journey. It shows up in growth and momentum, in teams expanding, in visibility increasing, and in founders stepping onto bigger stages to share their vision. It also lives in the focus required to keep moving forward while shaping a strong, dedicated team behind a clear story. These are the milestones we choose to mark together.

With glasses in hand and conversations flowing, Luc opened the evening by reflecting on the year behind us and the collective effort in the room. He shared what it takes to build with ambition and consistency, and reflected on the principles that guide how we work at Miles Ahead: putting people first, building with purpose, and backing long-term potential.

A special congratulations goes to IntelliProve and OTIV for reaching an important next phase in their journey. Both teams were honoured with a custom Miles Ahead vinyl plate, a tangible symbol of the milestone they reached together.

Moments like these fill us with pride. Pride in our founders, who kept showing up day after day. Pride in the advisors and partners who contributed their time, experience, and care. Pride in a community shaped by commitment, trust, and shared ambition.
